What is Gate Fun's community governance?

Updated over 2 months ago

Community governance is a core pillar of Gate Fun, aiming to deeply engage community members in platform and project decision-making, including the election of the community CTO, protocol development direction, and ecosystem resource allocation. We are gradually achieving our vision of decentralized governance through phased goals.

Core mechanisms of community governance:

  1. Visualization and dynamic election of community CTOs

    • Transparency and visibility: Gate Fun is committed to making the application, review, and management process of community CTOs fully transparent. Powered by on-chain smart contracts, all records are accessible in real time. Community members can view the current CTO's contributions, project progress, and revenue distribution details at any time.

    • Election Process: Voting is based on an on-chain governance contract, combined with Gate Fun’s platform’s meme discussion board and social media integration. Community members can openly discuss candidate qualifications, and voting results are updated in real time, ensuring fairness and transparency.

  2. Community-driven protocol development

    • Community members can participate in GateFun protocol optimization and development decisions through the proposal mechanism. For example, they can propose new features (such as trading interface upgrades, ranking algorithm optimizations) or adjust the fee structure (such as the protocol fee ratio).

    • The proposal process is open and transparent, and requires a minimum participation threshold (such as the number of token holders or voting weight) to be met. Adoption is decided through on-chain voting.

Phased governance goals

  • First issue (Plan):

    • Ecosystem pool funds will initially be used for airdrops and community activities, with allocations coordinated by the platform and early CTOs.

  • Second issue (Coming Soon):

    • Achieve complete visualization of the community CTO election and overthrow process, launch a dedicated governance interface, and display candidate information, voting progress and results.

Note: The above are provisional rules and will be adjusted based on community and user feedback.
