Updated over a month ago

1. VIP tier and fee

GateDEX applies a tiered fee structure for spot trading, with the VIP levels ranging from VIP0 to VIP14. Each level corresponds to different maker and taker fee rates. You can view the detailed rates through our official website link.

Note: The fee rates may be adjusted based on the market conditions. For the latest details, please refer to the official Gate website.

2. Overview of the trading fee structure

There are two types of trading fee:

Maker Fee: Trading fee charged for transactions as makers that refer to orders initiated to create an order book, pending matching fills.

Taker : Trading fee charged for transactions as takers that refer to orders that have a matching order price in the order book and can be immediately filled.

3. Trading fee calculation

Calculate the trading amount

Buy : Trading amount = purchase price x purchase amount

Sell : Trading amount = selling price x selling amount

Confirm the trading fee rates:You can find the corresponding taker or maker fee rate based on the VIP level.

Calculate the trading fee:Trading fee = trading amount x fee rate

Example

Assume that you are a VIP 0 user who plans to sell 2 ETH at the market price, with the current ETH price at 2,000 USDT.

Trading amount: 2,000 USDT × 2 ETH = 4,000 USDT

Trading fee rate: trading fee rate is 0.1%

Trading fee: 4000USDT × 0.1% = 4 USDT

Therefore, you need to pay a trading fee of 4 USDT.
